Jana Vöröšová

Born in 1980, Vöröšová studied composition at the Prague Conservatory with Bohuslav Řehoř and at the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU) with Václav Riedlbauch. She also spent a year studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and three months working at SACEM in Paris. Her music has been performed across Europe and America. She has collaborated with numerous orchestras and ensembles, including the Czech Philharmonic, Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, FOK, Klangforum Wien, Berg Orchestra, Brno Contemporary Orchestra, Ostravská banda, the S.E.M. Ensemble, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, Ensemble Calliopée, Ensemble Adapter, Konvergence, Bohemia Saxophone Quartet, and others. Her works have been featured at festivals such as Prague Spring, Wien Modern, Contempuls, Forfest, Festival delle nazioni Città di Castello, Orfeo, and Présences. She teaches at the composition department at HAMU, the Duncan Centre Conservatory, the Roztoč club, and the Tušení association. She also collaborates with the Cimbalom Association.
