The Contrapuncta association is pleased to announce the launch of its 2026 International Composition Competition, dedicated to promoting musical creation.
This edition is open to all, without nationality restrictions, for works for solo piano lasting between 6 and 12 minutes. Please note that submitted works must not have been commercially published or distributed previously.
Six selected pieces by a professional jury will be performed in concert in Bordeaux, after which two prizes will be awarded:
– Jury Prize: €1,000
– Audience Prize: €500
This competition offers to your students composers a unique opportunity to:
– Test their skills in a professional setting,
– Expand their repertoire with a work potentially performed in public,
– Receive valuable feedback through anonymous evaluation by an expert jury,
– Have their creation performed in concert by a professional pianist, if selected for the final round.
The registration fees are 35€.
Scores must be submitted anonymously, so that only the music is judged.
