BIOGRAPHY:


- born in 1964 to a family of musicians 
- 1984 - 1991 musical education/percussion studies at the Nuremberg Conservatoire and the Academy of Music in Stuttgart 
- member of the Stuttgart Percussion Ensemble 
- awarded 1990 the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes stipendium 
- awarded a stipendium for percussion studies in Prague 
- premiered several solo compositions, such as Interieur I, Psappha, Rebonds and Zyklus in both the Czech Republic and Russia 
- member of Agon, New Music Orchestra, Prague 
- masterclasses and lectures in percussion and interpretation of contemporary music at the Academies of Music in Moscow, Munich, Brno, St.Petersburg, Brno, Zurich, Bonn and Nuremberg 
- solo performances at events and international music festivals such as Warsaw Autumn, Prague Spring, International Percussion Days Prague, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Audio Art Krakow, Oggimusica Lugano, Bienale St. Petersburg, Musica Ficta Vilnius, Klassiek-Hedendaagse Muziek Gent, Music Unlimited Graz and Nyyd Tallin 
- occasional co-operation with composers M. Smolka (CZ), H. Lachenmann (D), P. Kofron (CZ), Tibor Szemzö (H), M.Steinauer(CH), P. Kotik (USA) and others 
- established 1999 the jury panel and created the program for the 4th International Interpretation Competition, Brno, an event devoted to solo multipercussion performances (this was the first competition of its sort to be held in Europe) 
- together with composer Ivo Medek and Siegfried Wekenmann co-founder of the annual International Symposium and Courses for Percussionists and Composers. This Projekt has created a platform for performances by Jeff Beer, Christian Dierstein, H. K. Raecke, Hans Koch, Mark Pekarsky, Dan Dlouhy, Mutsuko Aizawa, Stefan Froleyks and many others -co-operation with different broadcast companies including Czech State Television and Radio 
- since 2001 head of the Department for Multipercussion at the Academy of Music in Prague
