In Modo Camerale was founded when its members - wind instrument players - were still students at the Prague Conservatory. They became laureates of the International Radio Competition for young musicians - Concertino Praga in 1984, twice - in 1985 and 1986 - won the Dusek Mozart Competition, and subsequently were joined by pianist Tomas Visek, which enable the ensemble to expand its repertoire and to enhance the colour of its sound. In 1994, Visek was replaced by Daniel Wiesner.

Today, In Modo Camerale perform both home and abroad as wel as at international music festivals (e.g. at the 1994 Prague Spring Festival), have recorded four CDs, received a special award from the Czech Music Fund for their concert in Prague's prestigious Rudolfinum Hall, were nominated for the 1994 Talent Prize, and their recording of Bohuslav Martinu chamber works for the Matous Studio received one of the highest critical awards in October 1994 issue of the French musical monthly Diapason. In 1996 the ensemble became laureate prize winner in the International Chamber Music Competition in Osaka and received special prize awarded by Czech Society for Chamber Music.

The members of the group are graduates of the Prague Conservatory and the Prague Academy of Music. Jana Brozkova (1968) is the solo oboe player of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra (CRSO), laureate of the 1991 Prague Spring Competition, winner of the 1983 Concertino Praga Competition, holder of the 1988 European Prize from Zurich and winner first prize from the competition in Evanstone IL,(USA) 1997. Ludmila Peterkova (1967) enhanced her studies at the National Conservatory in Paris under a European Community scholarship.At the Prague Spring 1991 clarinet competition she won the second prize (no first prize was awarded), and the 1994 Young Concert Stage festival won the prize awarded by the Hudebni rozhledy (Musical Rewiew) magazine. Since 1994 she has been teaching the clarinet at the Prague Conservatory and has been a member of the Prague Philharmonia. Jaroslav Kubita (1966) was the solo bassoon player of the CRSO (1989-96), now he is a member of the Czech Philhamonic Orchestra.He won the first prizes of the Prague Spring Competition 1991 (including the prizes of the City of Prague and of the Czech Musical Fund) and Polish Wloszakowice Competition in 1988. Besides, he is a laureate of the competitions in Munich in 1987 and in Manchester 1989. Pianist Daniel Wiesner (1969) received already during his studies the Special Prize awarded by Hlavka Foundation in Prague and he won the first prize of the Piano Competition in Glasgow in 1990 and the fourth prize of Lisbon in 1991. He has performed in many european countries and in the USA as a soloist and as a member of the chamber music ensembles.
